En estos versos nos damos cuenta que el Apóstol Pedro era casado porque tenia su suegra. Al visitar el Señor su hogar ella estaba con una gran fiebre dice el libro de Lucas. Y el apóstol Pablo al escribirle a los Corintios lo vuelve a recordar: “¿No tenemos derecho de traer con nosotros una hermana por mujer como también los otros apóstoles, y los hermanos del Señor, y Cefas?” 1 Corintios 9:5. Recordemos que el Creador del matrimonio es nuestro Dios. Y una de las características de la apostasía fue prohibir el matrimonio, así lo escribió Pablo a Timoteo: “Pero el Espíritu dice claramente que en los postreros tiempos algunos apostatarán de la fe, escuchando a espíritus engañadores y a doctrinas de demonios; 2por la hipocresía de mentirosos que, teniendo cauterizada la conciencia, 3prohibirán casarse, y mandarán abstenerse de alimentos que Dios creó para que con acción de gracias participasen de ellos los creyentes y los que han conocido la verdad.” 1 Timoteo 4:1-3.
Dice Lucas que el Señor reprendió a la fiebre y ella se levantó, y les servía. Lo mas bonito de este milagro es la actitud de mucha gratitud de esta mujer hacia el Señor y los que andan con el porque el verso dice que al sentirse completamente sana les sirve. La podemos imaginar preparando alimentos y refrescos para atender a las visitas. Es un honor poder servir al Señor.
La gratitud nos debe de motivar a ser más fieles al Señor. Porque hemos recibido el mejor regalo y es el perdón de nuestros pecados.
Recordemos que el día sábado era un día que era para reposar, pero al terminar este día ósea al empezar la noche vinieron muchos endemoniados y enfermos. No era necesario que los tocara con solo hablar EL tenía el poder para sanar y expulsar a los demonios. Los sano a todos, demostrando así su poder y su autoridad.
No hubo una transferencia de enfermedades, ose al sanar a la suegra de Pedro y muchos enfermos esas enfermedades no se la pasaron al Señor, entendemos la palabra llevo nuestras enfermedades en el sentido que las quito. Del mismo modo debemos entender que llevo nuestros pecados, en el sentido que los quito los perdono. Eso no lo hizo pecador.
