“Cuando llegó a la otra orilla, a la tierra de los gadarenos, vinieron a su encuentro dos endemoniados que salían de los sepulcros, feroces en gran manera, tanto que nadie podía pasar por aquel camino. 29Y clamaron diciendo: ¿Qué tienes con nosotros, Jesús, Hijo de Dios? ¿Has venido acá para atormentarnos antes de tiempo? 30Estaba paciendo lejos de ellos un hato de muchos cerdos. 31Y los demonios le rogaron diciendo: Si nos echas fuera, permítenos ir a aquel hato de cerdos. 32El les dijo: Id. Y ellos salieron, y se fueron a aquel hato de cerdos; y he aquí, todo el hato de cerdos se precipitó en el mar por un despeñadero, y perecieron en las aguas. 33Y los que los apacentaban huyeron, y viniendo a la ciudad, contaron todas las cosas, y lo que había pasado con los endemoniados. 34Y toda la ciudad salió al encuentro de Jesús; y cuando le vieron, le rogaron que se fuera de sus contornos.” Mateo 8:28-34.
Algunos lo primero que ven es una aparente contradicción de endemoniados porque Mateo dice que son dos y Marcos y Lucas mencionan uno. Es posible que fueran dos y Lucas y Marcos solo mencionan al más feroz.
Tengamos presente que los demonios no pedían permiso para entrar en las personas. Ellos se metían a la fuerza y tomaban el control de la persona. Y solo entraban para hacer daño. Estos demonios viven en sepulcros y tiene fuerzas descomunales. Con nada les pueden retener.
Cada vez que los endemoniados tenían cerca a Jesús se arrodillaban ante EL. Jesús demostró su poder sobre los demonios. Ningún demonio pudo huir de Jesús. Estos demonios Gadarenos actúan como locos porque ambos andaban desnudos.
Estos demonios no existen en la actualidad, en el primer siglo se presentó el fenómeno de la demonología para que Jesús y los apóstoles demostraran su poder sobre ellos. Para que para satanás entre en una persona hoy en día la persona lo tiene que permitir.
Los demonios sabían lo que les esperaba al venir Jesús. El fuego eterno les espera. Leamos algunos versículos: “Entonces dirá también a los de la izquierda: Apartaos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno preparado para el diablo y sus ángeles.” Mateo 25:41. También Pedro menciono este hechos: “Porque si Dios no perdonó a los ángeles que pecaron, sino que arrojándolos al infierno los entregó a prisiones de oscuridad, para ser reservados al juicio;” 2 Pedro 2:4. Y Judas también trato el tema: “Y a los ángeles que no guardaron su dignidad, sino que abandonaron su propia morada, los ha guardado bajo oscuridad, en prisiones eternas, para el juicio del gran día;” Judas 6.
Los demonios querían tomar posesión de cuerpos, aunque fueran de animales. Luc. 8:31, “Y le rogaban que no los mandase ir al abismo”. Los demonios no querían ser enviados al abismo. Leamos en Apocalipsis: “Vi a un ángel que descendía del cielo, con la llave del abismo, y una gran cadena en la mano” Apoc. 20:1. Mas adelante dice: “Y vi tronos, y se sentaron sobre ellos los que recibieron facultad de juzgar; y vi las almas de los decapitados por causa del testimonio de Jesús y por la palabra de Dios, los que no habían adorado a la bestia ni a su imagen, y que no recibieron la marca en sus frentes ni en sus manos; y vivieron y reinaron con Cristo mil años.” Apoc. 20:4.
Lo triste en este relato es que los Gadarenos vieron un peligro en Jesús para su negocio de criar cerdos. Esta gente no se siente agradecida con Jesús por haber sanado a los endemoniados. Y le pidieron que se retirara de sus tierras. De esta manera ellos despreciaron a Jesús.
Dice Marcos 5:18, “Al entrar él en la barca, el que había estado endemoniado le rogaba que le dejase estar con él. 19 Mas Jesús no se lo permitió, sino que le dijo: Vete a tu casa, a los tuyos, y cuéntales cuán grandes cosas el Señor ha hecho contigo, y cómo ha tenido misericordia de ti. 20 Y se fue, y comenzó a publicar en Decápolis cuán grandes cosas había hecho Jesús con él; y todos se maravillaban”.
