    y esclavos del pecado libertar;

  1. El Trabajo para el Señor no es Vano: “Así que, hermanos míos amados, estad firmes y constantes, creciendo en la obra del Señor siempre, sabiendo que vuestro trabajo en el Señor no es en vano.” 1 Corintios 15:58.

Debemos de estar firme y constante cada día: “si en verdad permanecéis fundados y firmes en la fe, y sin moveros de la esperanza del evangelio que habéis oído, el cual se predica en toda la creación que está debajo del cielo; del cual yo Pablo fui hecho ministro.” Colosenses 1:23.

Debemos de abundar en la obra del Señor cada día: “Porque somos hechura suya, creados en Cristo Jesús para buenas obras, las cuales Dios preparó de antemano para que anduviésemos en ellas.” Efesios 2:10; “quien se dio a sí mismo por nosotros para redimirnos de toda iniquidad y purificar para sí un pueblo propio, celoso de buenas obras.” Tito 2:14.

Porque este trabajo siempre da buenos resultados: “Amados, yo os ruego como a extranjeros y peregrinos, que os abstengáis de los deseos carnales que batallan contra el alma, 12manteniendo buena vuestra manera de vivir entre los gentiles; para que en lo que murmuran de vosotros como de malhechores, glorifiquen a Dios en el día de la visitación, al considerar vuestras buenas obras.” 1 Pedro 2:11-12.

 

  1. El trabajo para el Señor debe ser con todo nuestro esfuerzo: “en trabajo y fatiga, en muchos desvelos, en hambre y sed, en muchos ayunos, en frío y en desnudez;” 2 Corintios 11:27.

Como los hermanos en Tesalónica: “Porque os acordáis, hermanos, de nuestro trabajo y fatiga; cómo trabajando de noche y de día, para no ser gravosos a ninguno de vosotros, os predicamos el evangelio de Dios.” 1 Tesalonicenses 2:9;

Y los hermanos en Efesios: “Yo conozco tus obras, y tu arduo trabajo y paciencia; y que no puedes soportar a los malos, y has probado a los que se dicen ser apóstoles, y no lo son, y los has hallado mentirosos;” Apoc.2:2.

 

  • El trabajo para el Señor debe ser hecho con amor: “acordándonos sin cesar delante del Dios y Padre nuestro de la obra de vuestra fe, del trabajo de vuestro amor y de vuestra constancia en la esperanza en nuestro Señor Jesucristo.” 1 Tesalonicenses 1:3.

EL se lo merece: “Todas vuestras cosas sean hechas con amor.” 1 Corintios 16:14.

 

  1. El trabajo para el Señor no será olvidado: “Porque Dios no es injusto para olvidar vuestra obra y el trabajo de amor que habéis mostrado hacia su nombre, habiendo servido a los santos y sirviéndoles aún.” Hebreos 6:10.

 

Como lo prometió en los días de Amos: “Jehová juró por la gloria de Jacob: No me olvidaré jamás de todas sus obras.” Amos 8:7.

 

  1. El trabajo para el Señor nos trae fruto y galardón completo: “Mirad por vosotros mismos, para que no perdáis el fruto de vuestro trabajo, sino que recibáis galardón completo.” 2 Juan 8.

 

El galardón que traerá la gracia de Dios al salvo fiel será completo. No tendrá falta alguna. Compárese: “Entonces el Rey dirá a los de su derecha: Venid, benditos de mi Padre, heredad el reino preparado para vosotros desde la fundación del mundo.” Mateo 25:34; “Él le dijo: Está bien, buen siervo; por cuanto en lo poco has sido fiel, tendrás autoridad sobre diez ciudades.” Lucas 19:17; “sabiendo que del Señor recibiréis la recompensa de la herencia, porque a Cristo el Señor servís.” Colosense 3:24.

 

 

  1. El trabajo para el Señor terminara cuando muramos: “Oí una voz que desde el cielo me decía: Escribe: “Bienaventurados de aquí en adelante los muertos que mueren en el Señor. Sí, dice el Espíritu, descansarán de sus trabajos, porque sus obras con ellos siguen.” 14:13.

 

Este mensaje es del cielo; es inspirado por el Espíritu Santo. Mientras que los que rinden culto al emperador y se identifican con la mundanalidad serán completamente destruidos, habiendo pasado algunos años de vida sobre la tierra, los que perseveran bajo la persecución, guardando los mandamientos de Dios y andando en la fe de la cual Jesús es el autor, al morir «en el Señor» (en una relación aceptable para con el Señor), encontrarán la bienaventuranza del cielo; descansarán de sus obras: “Y se les dieron vestiduras blancas, y se les dijo que descansasen todavía un poco de tiempo, hasta que se completara el número de sus consiervos y sus hermanos, que también habían de ser muertos como ellos.” (APOC. 6:11), y sus obras de vida fiel les seguirán (no habrán sido en vano, 1 Corintios 15:58) y serán parte de su juicio final.

 

CONCLUSION: Renovemos nuestro compromiso de trabajar por el Señor y recordemos las palabras del Señor en: “Recorría Jesús todas las ciudades y aldeas, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo. 36Y al ver las multitudes, tuvo compasión de ellas; porque estaban desamparadas y dispersas como ovejas que no tienen pastor. 37Entonces dijo a sus discípulos: A la verdad la mies es mucha, mas los obreros pocos. 38Rogad, pues, al Señor de la mies, que envíe obreros a su mies.” Mateo 9:35-38.
