Introducción: La palabra de Dios es descrita como una Espada, y muy bien sabemos cual es el propósito de una espada.
- Cualidades de la Palabra:
- Es divina: (Es la palabra de Dios) “Y ni mi palabra ni mi predicación fue con palabras persuasivas de humana sabiduría, sino con demostración del Espíritu y poder de Dios”, (1Cor. 2:4-5).
- Es viviente: (es viva), “Asidos de la palabra de vida, para que en el día de Cristo pueda gloriarme de que no he corrido en vano, ni en vano he trabajado”, (Filipenses 2:16). En contraste a nuestras palabras que se olvidan y pasan, la palabra de Dios vive y permanece, (1Pedro 1:25) “Mas la palabra de Dios permanece para siempre, Y esta es la palabra que por el evangelio os ha sido anunciada”.
- Tiene vida en si misma:Es viva e incorruptible, (1Pedro 1:23) “Siendo renacidos, no de simiente corruptible, sino de incorruptible, por la palabra de Dios que vive y permanece para siempre”. Cristo dijo que el orín y he moho corrompen, el dinero corrompe a muchos, hay mucha…

- Trae convicción y conversión: (Hechos:19:18), “Y muchos de los que habían creído venían confesando y dando cuentas de sus hechos”.
- Obra consuelo y confirmación: (2 Tesalonicenses 2:16-17), “Y el mismo Jesucristo Señor nuestro, y Dios nuestro Padre, el cual nos amo y nos dio consolación eterna y buena esperanza por gracia. Conforte vuestros corazones, y os confirme en toda buena palabra y obra”.
- Tiene poder para levantarnos a la mas alta esfera de santidad y felicidad: (Romanos 6:22) Trae libertad del pecado. “Mas ahora que habéis sido libertados del pecado y hechos siervos de Dios, tenéis por vuestro fruto la santificación, y como fin la vida eterna”.
- Es cortante: Hiere mas o menos todo lo que toca, mata la propia justicia, el pecado, la incredulidad, etc..etc.. Es discriminadora, (hasta partir el alma y el espíritu), Separa lo interior de lo exterior, lo verdadero de lo falso. La religión sincera de lo falso:
- Es penetrante- abre camino en el corazón duro.
- Es Reveladora-discierne los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón.
- Descuartiza al hombre como el carnicero a la res.
- Es juzgadora: Juzga ahora y juzgara en día postrero, (Juan 12:48)
- Lecciones que debemos aprender:
- Tener gran reverencia por la Biblia como la verdadera palabra de Dios. “Así recibiendo nosotros un reino inconmovible , tengamos gratitud, y mediante ella sirvamos a Dios agradándole con reverencia y temor”, (Hebreos 12:28).
- Venir a ella para vivificar nuestras almas, (Juan 4:14) “Mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, no tendrá sed jamás, sino que el agua que yo le daré será en el una fuente que salte para vida eterna”.
- Acudir a ella para adquirir fuerza para matar los pecados que batallan contra el alma. (Efesios 6:11), “Vestíos de toda la armadora de Dios para que podáis estar firmes contra las asechanzas del diablo”.
- Acudir a la palabra de Dios para refutar el error, (Tito 1:9-11: “retenedor de la palabra fiel tal como ha sido enseñada, para que también pueda exhortar con sana enseñanza y convencer a los que contradicen. 10Porque hay aún muchos contumaces, habladores de vanidades y engañadores, mayormente los de la circuncisión, 11a los cuales es preciso tapar la boca; que trastornan casas enteras, enseñando por ganancia deshonesta lo que no conviene.”).
- Acudir a ella para alcanzar la salvación y vida eterna, (2Tim.3:14-17: “Pero persiste tú en lo que has aprendido y te persuadiste, sabiendo de quién has aprendido; 15y que desde la niñez has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salvación por la fe que es en Cristo Jesús. 16Toda la Escritura es inspirada por Dios, y útil para enseñar, para redargüir, para corregir, para instruir en justicia, 17a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente preparado para toda buena obra.”).
Conclusión:
