Daniel 6:1-28
INTRODUCCIÓN:
- En este capitulo no estamos bajo el gobierno de Nabucodonor.
- Se menciona a Dario, y este constituyo un sistema de reinado que consistia en un equipo de gobernadores (3 para ser exacto) y uno de ellos es Daniel, y por debajo de estos gobernadores habían 120 sátrapas. Daniel 6:2, 3“2y sobre ellos a tres ministros (de los cuales Daniel era uno), a quienes rindiesen cuenta estos sátrapas, para que el rey no fuese perjudicado.3Pero Daniel mismo se distinguía entre los ministros y los sátrapas, porque en él había excelencia de espíritu. Y el rey pensaba constituirle sobre todo el reino.”
- A este Dario se le confunde con:
- El Rey de Ciro, en el Daniel 6:28“28Fue así como Daniel prosperó durante los reinados de Dario y de Ciro el Persa”(NVI) , se explica de dos personas diferentes. Se explica que Daniel sirvió en el Reinado de Dario y en el reinado de Ciro.
- Ciro el grande, Se descarta porque Daniel tendria mas 100 años de edad
- El gobernador; este es el mas cercano. Fue gobernador de Babilonia, bajo el dominio del general Ciro.
- Daniel nos enseña acerca de fidelidad sobre el trabajo y lo espiritual.
DANIEL Y EL COMPLOT
- Daniel era fiel a su rey. Por consiguiente lo era para Dios. Daniel 6:4“4Entonces los ministros y los sátrapas buscaban hallar pretexto contra Daniel en los asuntos del reino, pero no podían hallar ningún pretexto o corrupción, porque él era fiel. Ninguna negligencia ni corrupción fueron halladas en él.”
- La unica ocasion que encontraron los enemigos, fue poner tropiezo debido a su fidelidad a Dios. Daniel 6:5“5Entonces estos hombres dijeron: —No hallaremos contra este Daniel ningún pretexto, si no lo hallamos contra él en relación con la ley de su Dios.”
- Una vez mas se observa la envidia mostrada por estos hombres. Proverbios 27:4“4Cruel es la ira e impetuoso el furor; pero, ¿quién podrá mantenerse en pie delante de los celos?” Santiago 3:16 “16Porque donde hay celos y contiendas, allí hay desorden y toda práctica perversa.” Mateo 27:17,18 “17Estando ellos reunidos, Pilato les dijo: —¿A cuál queréis que os suelte? ¿A Barrabás o a Jesús, llamado el Cristo? 18Porque sabía que por envidia le habían entregado.”
EL EDICTO DEL REY
- En común acuerdo deciden poner tropiezo a Daniel. Daniel 6:7“7Todos los ministros del reino, los intendentes y los sátrapas, los altos oficiales y los gobernadores han acordado por consejo que el rey promulgue un decreto y que ponga en vigencia el edicto de que cualquiera que haga una petición a cualquier dios u hombre, fuera de ti, durante treinta días, oh rey, sea echado al foso de los leones.” Ante esta intervención al Rey se observa una mentira, Daniel quien pertenece a los gobernadores de seguro no estaba enterado, y ¿Como todos dicen: …han acordado por consejo del Rey promulgue…?
- La respuesta de Daniel. (Daniel 6:10)“10Cuando Daniel supo que el documento estaba firmado, entró en su casa, y con las ventanas de su cámara abiertas hacia Jerusalén se hincaba de rodillas tres veces al día. Y oraba y daba gracias a su Dios, como lo solía hacer antes.” Debe de entenderse que esta actitud no es de confrontacion, sino que Daniel sigue practicando lo que siempre hacia. No cambia para nada su practica debido al edicto firmado.
- Sus enemigos piden el cumplimiento de ley. Daniel 6:11“11Entonces aquellos hombres se reunieron y hallaron a Daniel rogando e implorando delante de su Dios.” (Véase 1 Reyes 8:48).
LA SENTENCIA DE DANIEL
- Daniel encuentra un aliado, el rey. (Daniel 6.14)“14Al oír el rey de este asunto, sintió un gran disgusto por ello y se propuso salvar a Daniel. Hasta la puesta del sol se esforzó por librarlo.”Este busca por todos los medios legales poder ayudar a Daniel.
- Al no encontrar un medio legal, se da la ejecucion del edicto. Daniel 6:16,17“16Entonces el rey dio la orden, y trajeron a Daniel, y lo echaron al foso de los leones. El rey habló y dijo a Daniel: —¡Tu Dios, a quien tú continuamente rindes culto, él te libre! 17Una piedra fue traída y puesta sobre la entrada del foso, la cual el rey selló con su anillo y con el anillo de sus nobles, para que el acuerdo acerca de Daniel no fuese cambiado.”Aqui se observa una buena actitud de este Rey, de recurrir a que Daniel confie en su Dios para que le proteja.
- La respuesta de Dios a la confianza brindada por Daniel. (Daniel 6:22)“22Mi Dios envió a su ángel, el cual cerró la boca de los leones, para que no me hiciesen daño; porque delante de él he sido hallado inocente. Tampoco delante de ti, oh rey, he hecho nada malo.”
- Se puede ver como Dios proteja a sus hijos, controlando una manada de leones a través de su ángel.
- Se puede decir que Dario paso una noche no muy buena, pues en la mañana al buscar a Daniel lo hace con una voz muy triste. (Daniel 6:20)“20Cuando se acercó al foso, llamó a voces a Daniel, con tono entristecido. El rey habló y dijo a Daniel: —¡Oh Daniel, siervo del Dios viviente! Tu Dios, a quien tú continuamente rindes culto, ¿te ha podido librar de los leones?”
- La reacción del Rey para con las personas que le habían acusado falsamente, y se comprobo que su acusacion era falsa. (Daniel 6:24)“24Luego el rey dio la orden, y trajeron a aquellos hombres que habían acusado a Daniel. Los echaron al foso de los leones, a ellos, a sus hijos y a sus mujeres. Y aún no habían llegado al fondo del foso, cuando los leones se apoderaron de ellos y trituraron todos sus huesos.”
- Dios habia dejado una prerrogativa para cuando se presentara acusaciones falsas, (deuteronomio 19:18-19)“18Los jueces investigarán bien, y si aquel testigo resulta ser falso, por haber testificado falsamente contra su hermano, 19le haréis a él lo que él pensó hacer a su hermano. Así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.”
- Dario se dio cuenta de este maligno complot, por lo que el volvio hacia sus acusadores el mismo castigo,“Fosa de los leones”(Véase Daniel 6:24).
CONCLUSIÓN:
- Alabanza de Dario para el Dios de Daniel (Daniel 6:26,27)“26De parte mía es dada la orden de que en todo el dominio de mi reino tiemblen y teman delante del Dios de Daniel; porque él es el Dios viviente, que permanece por la eternidad. Su reino es un reino que no será destruido, y su dominio dura hasta el fin. 27El salva y libra; él hace señales y milagros en el cielo y en la tierra. El es quien libró a Daniel del poder de los leones.” Firma un edicto dentro de su concepto de politeísta para que se teman y respete para el único Dios.
- En este sentido nos enseña Daniel a ser fiel en el trabajo y en lo espiritual.
- No hay nada que Dios no pueda controlar. Controló toda una manada de leones para que a Daniel no le hiciesen ningun mal.

Por último cabe mencionar que, cuando un grupo de leonas mata a una presa y no hay ningún león de su manada cerca, la presa suele ser robada por otros animales (hienas, buitres, etc…), sin embargo cuando el león está presente ningún animal se atreve a acercarse a la presa, por eso las leonas cazan y dejan que el león simplemente llegue y coma lo que quiera.
