1 CORINTIOS 10:1-13 –
- LA IMPORTANCIA DE LAS ESCRITURAS DEL ANTIGUO TESTAMENTO.

— Ley de Moisés fue dada exclusivamente para Israel (Deuteronomio 5:2, 3). — Gálatas 3:19, “Entonces, ¿para qué sirve la ley? Fue añadida a causa de las transgresiones, hasta que viniese la simiente a quien fue hecha la promesa; y fue ordenada por medio de ángeles en mano de un mediador”. La “simiente” es Cristo (Gálatas 3:16).
— Gálatas 3:24, “De manera que la ley ha sido nuestro ayo, para llevarnos a Cristo, a fin de que fuésemos justificados por la fe”.
— Hebreos 7:12, “Porque cambiado el sacerdocio, necesario es que haya también cambio de ley”. Muchos enseñan que la Ley de Moisés todavía está de vigencia y hablan de guardar el sábado, pagar el diezmo, usar instrumentos de música, etc., pero si creen esto deben tener el sacerdocio levítico que era inseparable de la Ley de Moisés. También hablan de “ley moral” (10 mandamientos) y “ley ceremonial” pero la Biblia no hace tal distinción, es pura invención de hombres para su propia conveniencia. (Si hubiera tal distinción, la guarda del sábado sería “ley ceremonial”).
— Hebreos 10:8-10, Cristo dice, “Sacrificio y ofrenda y holocaustos y expiaciones por el pecado no quisiste, ni te agradaron (las cuales cosas se ofrecen según la ley),y diciendo luego: He aquí que vengo, oh Dios, para hacer tu voluntad; quita lo primero, para establecer esto último. 10 En esa voluntad (el Nuevo Testamento) somos santificados mediante la ofrenda del cuerpo de Jesucristo hecha una vez para siempre”. Los términos “pacto” (Gálatas 3:15), “testamento” (Hebreos 9:17) y “voluntad” se usan intercambiablemente.
— Colosenses 2:13, 14, Cristo “os dio vida juntamente con él, perdonándoos todos los pecados, 14 anulando el acta de los decretos que había contra nosotros, que nos era contraria, quitándola de en medio y clavándola en la cruz”. Pablo afirma aquí que la Ley de Moisés fue clavada en la cruz de Cristo y concluye (v. 16), “Por tanto, nadie os juzgue en comida o en bebida, o en cuanto a días de fiesta, luna nueva o días de reposo”. Los “días de reposo” incluían todos los días de reposo comenzando con el día de reposo (sábado) semanal (Éxodo 20:8-10).
— La Biblia es un solo libro, el NT es el cumplimiento del AT. Lucas 24:44, “Y les dijo: Estas son las palabras que os hablé, estando aún con vosotros: que era necesario que se cumpliese todo lo que está escrito de mí en la ley de Moisés, en los profetas y en los salmos”.
- LAS BENDICIONES DE ISRAEL SEGÚN 1 CORINTIOS 10:1-4
— V. 1, “Porque no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis que nuestros padres todos estuvieron bajo la nube” de la protección de Dios.
— “y todos pasaron el mar” con toda seguridad, no sufrieron daño durante esa experiencia.
— Todos salieron de la esclavitud de Egipto con el propósito de llegar a la tierra de Canaán, la tierra de promesa. Comenzaron bien, pero ¿cuántos llegaron?
— De esa manera los corintios habían obedecido el evangelio (1 Cor. 6:11) pero entonces tenían que ejercitar el dominio propio para ganar el premio de la vida eterna.
— La doctrina falsa de los bautistas y otros calvinistas de la imposibilidad de apostasía se refuta con todo énfasis en 1 Cor. 9:25-27; 10:12.
— V. 2, “y todos en Moisés fueron bautizados en la nube y en el mar”. Estaban en medio del mar y cubiertos con la nube. De esa manera fueron “bautizados” (sumergidos) en la nube y en el mar. “Los hijos de Israel entraron por en medio del mar, en seco, teniendo las aguas como muro a su derecha y a su izquierda” (Éxodo 14:22).
— V. 3, “y todos comieron el mismo alimento espiritual”. Dios les dio maná como comida durante su peregrinación en el desierto. Era alimento físico pero Jesús le llama “pan del cielo” (Juan 6:32). Por eso, Pablo lo describe como “alimento espiritual”.
— V. 4, “y todos bebieron la misma bebida espiritual; porque bebían de la roca espiritual que los seguía, y la roca era Cristo”. Pablo se refiere al agua que Dios sacó de la peña dos veces (Éxodo 17:1-7; Núm. 20:2-13). Cristo es la “Roca” (Mat. 16:18; 1 Cor. 3:11).
— Cristianos han sido bendecidos de muchas maneras: Rom. 6:4, “somos sepultados juntamente con él para muerte por el bautismo, a fin de que como Cristo resucitó de los muertos por la gloria del Padre, así también nosotros andemos en vida nueva”. Hebreos 6:4, 5, “fueron iluminados y gustaron del don celestial, y fueron hechos partícipes del Espíritu Santo, 5 y asimismo gustaron de la buena palabra de Dios y los poderes del siglo venidero”.
III. LAS TRANSGRESIONES DE ISRAEL SEGÚN 1 CORINTIOS 10:5-10
— 1 Cor. 10:5. Pablo dice “todos” cinco veces para describir las bendiciones que Dios derramó sobre el pueblo de Israel, pero entonces dice que “los más de ellos” (la mayor parte de ellos) “quedaron postrados en el desierto”.
— 1 Cor. 10:6, “Mas estas cosas sucedieron como ejemplos para nosotros, para que no codiciemos cosas malas, como ellos codiciaron”.
— 1 Cor. 10:7, “Ni seáis idólatras, como algunos de ellos, según está escrito: Se sentó el pueblo a comer y a beber, y se levantó a jugar”. Éxodo 32:6, la adoración del becerro de oro que construyeron cuando Moisés estuvo en el monte recibiendo la ley. La palabra “jugar” se refiere a las danzas vulgares (“el pueblo estaba desenfrenado”, Éxodo 32:25). La participación en las fiestas de idolatría en Corinto era semejante a esa conducta vergonzosa de Israel.
— 1 Cor. 10:8, “Ni forniquemos, como algunos de ellos fornicaron, y cayeron en un día veintitrés mil”. Números 25:1, 2. Las moabitas sedujeron a los israelitas a cometer fornicación y adorar sus ídolos. Pablo no cita el número de todos los que murieron (24,000, Números 25:9, incluyendo los príncipes que fueron ahorcados) sino el número de los que “cayeron en un día”.
— 1 Cor. 10:9, “Ni tentemos al Señor, como también algunos de ellos le tentaron, y perecieron por las serpientes”. Números 21:5, 6, “Y habló el pueblo contra Dios y contra Moisés: ¿Por qué nos hiciste subir de Egipto para que muramos en este desierto? Pues no hay pan ni agua, y nuestra alma tiene fastidio de este pan tan liviano. 6 Y Jehová envió entre el pueblo serpientes ardientes, que mordían al pueblo; y murió mucho pueblo de Israel”.
— 1 Cor. 10:10, “Ni murmuréis, como algunos de ellos murmuraron, y perecieron por el destructor”.
— Números 16:1-3, “Coré hijo de Izhar, hijo de Coat, hijo de Leví, y Datán y Abiram hijos de Eliab, y On hijo de Pelet, de los hijos de Rubén, tomaron gente, y se levantaron contra Moisés con doscientos cincuenta varones de los hijos de Israel, príncipes de la congregación, de los del consejo, varones de renombre. 3 Y se juntaron contra Moisés y Aarón y les dijeron: ¡Basta ya de vosotros!” V. 32-35, “Abrió la tierra su boca, y los tragó a ellos, a sus casas, a todos los hombres de Coré, y a todos sus bienes. 33 Y ellos, con todo lo que tenían, descendieron vivos al Seol, y los cubrió la tierra, y perecieron de en medio de la congregación. 34 Y todo Israel, los que estaban en derredor de ellos, huyeron al grito de ellos; porque decían: No nos trague también la tierra. 35 También salió fuego de delante de Jehová, y consumió a los doscientos cincuenta hombres que ofrecían el incienso”.

— Números 21:5, 6, cuando tentaron al Señor, perecieron por las serpientes (“murió mucho pueblo de Israel”).
— Números 14:26-30, 37, “6 Y Jehová habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo: 27 ¿Hasta cuándo oiré esta depravada multitud que murmura contra mí, las querellas de los hijos de Israel, que de mí se quejan? 28 Diles: Vivo yo, dice Jehová, que según habéis hablado a mis oídos, así haré yo con vosotros. 29 En este desierto caerán vuestros cuerpos; todo el número de los que fueron contados de entre vosotros, de veinte años arriba, los cuales han murmurado contra mí. 30 Vosotros a la verdad no entraréis en la tierra, por la cual alcé mi mano y juré que os haría habitar en ella; exceptuando a Caleb hijo de Jefone, y a Josué hijo de Nun”.
— Números 13:27-33, “Y les contaron, diciendo: Nosotros llegamos a la tierra a la cual nos enviaste, la que ciertamente fluye leche y miel; y este es el fruto de ella. 28 Mas el pueblo que habita aquella tierra es fuerte, y las ciudades muy grandes y fortificadas; y también vimos allí a los hijos de Anac. 29 Amalec habita el Neguev, y el heteo, el jebuseo y el amorreo habitan en el monte, y el cananeo habita junto al mar, y a la ribera del Jordán. 30 Entonces Caleb hizo callar al pueblo delante de Moisés, y dijo: Subamos luego, y tomemos posesión de ella; porque más podremos nosotros que ellos. 31 Mas los varones que subieron con él, dijeron: No podremos subir contra aquel pueblo, porque es más fuerte que nosotros”.
— – “Y hablaron mal entre los hijos de Israel, de la tierra que habían reconocido, diciendo: La tierra por donde pasamos para reconocerla, es tierra que traga a sus moradores; y todo el pueblo que vimos en medio de ella son hombres de grande estatura. 33 También vimos allí gigantes, hijos de Anac, raza de los gigantes, y éramos nosotros, a nuestro parecer, como langostas; y así les parecíamos a ellos”.
— Números 14:37, “ aquellos (diez) varones que (después de reconocer la tierra de Canaán) habían hablado mal de la tierra, murieron de plaga delante de Jehová”.

— El maná y el agua de la roca representan el cuidado providencial de Dios de sus hijos durante nuestra peregrinación.
— Canaán es tipo del cielo. Muchos de los que salieron de Egipto no llegaron; lo mismo, muchos de los que dejan el mundo todavía tiene su corazón en el mundo y vuelven.
— 1 Cor. 10:11, “Y estas cosas les acontecieron como ejemplo, y están escritas para amonestarnos a nosotros, a quienes han alcanzado los fines de los siglos”
— 1 Cor. 10:12, “Así que, el que piensa estar firme, mire que no caiga”. Algunos de los hermanos corintios pensaban que eran muy “fuertes”, que podían entrar en el templo de ídolos y comer lo sacrificado a ídolos sin pecar, pero en realidad estaban en gran peligro de caer y ser perdidos.
— 1 Cor. 10:13, “ No os ha sobrevenido ninguna tentación que no sea humana; pero fiel es Dios, que no os dejará ser tentados más de lo que podéis resistir, sino que dará también juntamente con la tentación la salida, para que podáis soportar”. No hay excusa para los que pecan. No hay tentación que no sea humana; nadie puede decir, “la tentación o la prueba en el caso mío son excepcionales).
